Hey SJ, it’s your favorite newsletter team here, full of fresh home inspo after an out-of-this-world virtual experience designing our dream kitchen in 3D with Lowe’s Style Studio.

And we didn’t have to pay a cent.

🥽 What we tried

After scheduling our 45-minute in-store demo, we met an attendant at our local Lowe’s, synced the Apple Vision Pro VR headset, and entered the immersive 3D kitchen for limitless customization (check out our recent reel to see what we saw inside the headset).

We were able to choose from hundreds of colors, textures, materials, and brand selections — from lighting and fixtures to countertops, cabinets, and appliances — all available in-store for your real kitchen.

These free demos aren’t just for media, either. Anyone can try for free at the five participating locations.

🛠️ See before you renovate

Watching the hyper-detailed virtual kitchen change in real time helped us visualize design combinations we might never have tried otherwise.

Blue cabinets against a patterned backsplash? Sounds strange, but we loved it. All-white everything with gold fixtures? Hard to picture on paper, but right there in front of us, we could tell how we felt immediately.

Nice to see it all together before the work starts.

🛜 Working in the virtual world

We were a bit wary of handling brand-new tech, but the Style Studio was unbelievably user-friendly.

We had never so much as touched a VR headset, much less spent 45 minutes inside one, but within a few moments, we were flying through selections like we did it for a living.

There was even a handy iPad that mirrored the VR experience for others to follow along.

It was as easy as it was fun — and let us tell you, it was so much fun.

🗓️ How you can experience this

It only takes a few clicks (and about 90 seconds) to sign up for your free in-store demo. There, the attendant will help you size the headset, walk you through setup, and answer any questions as you start your customization journey.

Like what you see? You can save designs to review at home later. Love what you see? You can purchase those selections right then and there and turn your real kitchen into the kitchen you just hand-designed.
