Today, we’re celebrating San Jose’s own unofficial holiday, 408 Day — which pays homage to our city’s area code.

This day is all about San Jose culture, community connectedness + resident pride. So, we’ve decided to curate a 408 Day itinerary for you to enjoy San Jose in all of its glory.

9:00 AM

Start your day with tunes by the Peach Tree Rascals, a band with roots in San Jose. Then, head over to Nirvana Soul or Academic Coffee for your morning pick-me-up and enjoy a walk through Downtown which is home to 125 murals + counting. 🎨

12:00 PM

Getting hungry? Venture over to Tostadas for brunch or get some pho-tastic soup at Pho Ha Noi in Little Saigon. For something quick, grab A Slice of New York, one of the best pizzerias in the US according to Yelp.

3:00 PM

History buffs can explore our city’s roots at the 14-acre History Park, and artsy folks can check out the new MACLA exhibition featuring 40+ original works from local Latinx artists.

5:00 PM

Stop by the Garden at the Flea for Pop Up San Jose’s night market with over 50 local vendors and nine food trucks including Chubby’s Chickn + 3 Brothers Kitchen. And even better — admission + parking is free. 🛍️

7:00 PM

Looking for live entertainment? Head over to Original Gravity for their famous duck fat fries + smashburgers. Today they’ll be celebrating “408 Day” with San Jose-based artists, musicians, comedians and more. 🎤

9:00 PM

The night is still young, so end the night on a high (score) at the arcade bar, Miniboss, or drive up to the Grandview Restaurant to bask in the beauty of our great city. 🌃
