2022 Coding 5K Summer Camps, Multiple locations

Each week-long session features different aspects of coding, from robotics and math, to storytelling and art. Girls-only camps + virtual camps are available on select dates, no cost to attend.

Silicon Valley Boot Camp, URM Education Campus, 2635 N. First St.

This week-long program invites high school students to explore technology + entrepreneurship through visits with top tech companies. Tuition cost is $6,800 and includes lodging — the deadline to register is Fri., July 8.

Camp Galileo, Multiple locations

Focused on innovation + iterative learning, Galileo offers specialized STEAM courses that include dinosaur digs, medieval quests, amusement park design, and more. Prices vary; pre-K to 10th grade.

Steve & Kate’s Camp, Multiple locations

This drop-in camp offers weekly themed sessions that give students a hands-on lesson about botany, health + wellness, cartography, and more. Prices vary; ages 7-11.

All the world’s a stage at this Shakespeare camp. Over the course of 10-15 days, kids will rehearse and perform adaptations of the Bard’s work including “The Tempest” + “Much Ado About Nothing.” Prices vary; ages 7-18.

Come one and all to this overnight camp focused on circus + performing arts. During one and two-week sessions, campers will learn trapeze acts, gymnastics, and more. $1200 per week; ages 7-17.

Camp Shalom, 14855 Oka Rd., Los Gatos

This summer camp is grounded in Jewish values + open to all children. Programs include fun STEAM-related activities like tie-dye, LEGOs, musical theater, and robotic animals. Prices vary; grades 1-8. (Pro tip: Check out their sister camp, Camp Chaverim, which was designed for kids of all abilities.)

Happy Hollow Park & Zoo, 748 Story Rd.

Send your little critter to the zoo for one of Happy Hollow’s week-long camp programs, which include dinosaur crafts, veterinary classes + animal mythology. $375 per session; ages 5-13.

Go old-school with this traditional sleep-away camp with two-week and mini six-day programs. This YMCA-sponsored camp also organizes leadership + adventure camp experiences. Programs range from $840-$2100; ages 7-17.
