San Jose Mineta Airport will also receive $11 million in federal grants to support upgrades to the airport’s terminals and facilities. The funding aims to help SJC improve accessibility in compliance with the US Americans with Disabilities Act. 💰 (CBS News)

Oakmont of Silver Creek, a senior citizen facility in East San Jose, was recently bought by a Chicago-based real estate firm for $50.8 million. San Jose Parks & Rec will celebrate the ribbon cutting of Golden Oak Park this Saturday, Jan. 28, 11 a.m.-12 p.m., at Via del Oro. Join District 2 Councilmember Sergio Jimenez in welcoming the neighborhood’s newest park featuring two playgrounds, picnic areas, and a fitness equipment station. 🌳
