📜 It’s a print party, y’all

History San José to celebrate 50th anniversary of historic Print Shop

In 1973, History Park’s Print Shop opened to the public. The building itself was originally a residence built in 1884 on North San Pedro Street, but it was re-imagined into a print shop common to San Jose in the late 1800s to the early 1900s.

So this year, on Saturday, April 29th — the exact date the Print Shop turns 50 years old — History San José + the San José Printers’ Guild will host their annual Bay Area Printers’ Fair & Wayzgoose, which will bring 30+ printmakers, vendors, and artists to History Park.

Enjoy interactive demonstrations of letterpress printing, handmade items for purchase, and freshly-printed keepsakes to take home.

This free event will go from noon to 3 p.m. Find more information about the vendor lineup and schedule of activities on the Printers’ Guild website.
