Now that Thanksgiving has passed, San Jose is ready to dive head-first into the holiday season.
Holiday bar pop-ups are back, Christmas in the Park has already welcomed visitors, and now all we’re needing is... some festive tunes.

The San Jose Sharks signed forward Justin Bailey to a one-year contract, and forward Filip Zadina has been placed on injured reserve. New York native Bailey has secured six goals + five assists with the Barracuda this season, and has appeared in 82 career NHL games.

A Phoenix-based, Korean dessert cafe called Snowtime has expanded to its first out-of-state location in Campbell at San Tomas Expressway and Hamilton. For its grand opening this Saturday, Dec. 2, Snowtime will offer BOGO 50% off all day + the first 50 customers will receive a free mini ice cream.

A British artist and photographer named Marcus Lyon has finished his book, “De.Coded: A Human Atlas of Silicon Valley,” which explores familiar faces within our region like former Mayor Ron Gonzalez, former county supervisor Blanca Alvarado, and more. The Ladies 1st DJ Club, headed by Charlene Alcanices of SOULMAT3S, is launching another 8-week professional DJ program open to all women 21+. Applications will be accepted until Tuesday, Dec. 19, and the program will begin in January.

A Jack Daniels Barrel Tree has been set up in front of the SAP Center + will glow through the holiday season. Each barrel sale is a part of its “Operation Ride Home” program that helps junior-enlisted service members and their families travel home for the holidays.
