We know the question on your mind, fellow San Joseans — when is the summer heat going to shuffle out?
Thanks to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Climate Prediction Center, we know what temperatures and precipitation trends to expect in the great 408 for September, October, and November.
Temperature San Jose’s temps will be typical for this time of year — not too hot, not too chilly.
Precipitation Expect slight precipitation. Trends point to a typical amount of local rainfall this autumn.
September Toastier temps may stick around. August’s average high of 81.9° coolsever so slightly to an average high of 79.7° in September and a low of 55.6°. The UV index is 5, so put on that sunscreen.
October Come Halloween season, SJ cools a bit more. You can expect an average high of 72.7° and a low of 52.7° — so pack a light jacket for the kiddos while trick-or-treating. On average, this month brings 2.5 days of light rain to the great 408.
November There will be a noticeable drop in temperature with an average high of 63.9° and a low of 47.3°. Daylight Saving Time ends on Sunday, Nov. 3 but despite a shrinking window of daylight, get ready for the festive lights of Christmas in the Park coming at the end of this month.
