Let’s do this, Bay FC. Our city’s NWSL expansion team clinched a postseason berth and will play a quarterfinal match tomorrow, Nov. 10, at 9:30 a.m. against Washington Spirit in Washington, DC. Bay FC is only the second team in league history to qualify for the playoffs in their inaugural season.

East Coast adventure, anyone? San Jose Mineta International Airport announced that Southwest Airlines will launch nonstop flights between San Jose + Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport starting June 5, 2025. In the meantime, here are some other nonstop options out of SJC.

History San Jose is trying to raise $450,000 in donations to relocate the historic Eiichi Sakauye Farmhouse from 2620 Seely Ave. to San Jose History Park. The structure is part of the Sakauye Farmstead — a site deeply rooted in the valley’s Japanese American history — which will be redeveloped into housing.
Traffic
Now that it’s getting darker earlier, the Department of Transportation is placing electronic message boards across San Jose reminding drivers to slow down and watch for pedestrians. The first round went up this week on White, McKee, and Tully roads. More will be deployed through March 2025.

Cue the festive cheer — Children’s Heritage Holiday at History Park will arrive on Saturday, Dec. 14, 11 a.m.-3 p.m., and tickets are now available.
