SAP Center | This 18,000-capacity venue is the official home of the Sharks, but hosts ~100 other events annually, including stand-up comedy tours and live music. Peep the 2025 schedule.
Levi’s Stadium | As the official home of the San Francisco 49ers, this stadium boasts ~68,500 seats and 80+ concession stands. It has been the big stage for big acts like Taylor Swift and Beyoncé.
Caravan Lounge | One of San Jose’s oldest live music venues, this dive bar is known for its black painted walls, brick, and bright neon signs. The gruff exterior belies an atmosphere of warmth and community — and one of the most intimate concert venues in town, with room for just 88 patrons.

Sports
City Council is expected to approve a deal on Tuesday, Aug. 26 that’ll keep the San Jose Sharks playing here until 2051. Per the agreement, the city will provide $325 million to help upgrade the SAP Center and improve arena parking. If the Sharks leave before 2051, they’ll face pricey penalties. (The Mercury News)
Outdoors
SJ and Trust for Public Land are offering grants worth up to $10,000 for community-based organizations, nonprofits, and neighborhood groups to spruce up local parks. The funding can be used for improvements, community events, or temporary features designed to activate parks. Applications are due by 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23.

Tickets are now available for the 2025 NWSL Championship going down at PayPal Park on Saturday, Nov. 12, at 5 p.m. If you can’t make it to the big match in person, it’ll broadcast live in prime time on CBS Television Network and stream on Paramount+.
Announced
Due to a lack of corporate sponsorship, the 2025 Día San José festival planned for this fall has been canceled. Organizers say that without adequate funding, they can’t host a safe event. They plan to return with a “bigger and better” event in October 2026.
