As Valentine’s Day approaches, why not whip up something sweet for your sweetheart? Lucky for you, the bakers at Luv’s Brownies have a recipe that everyone will love: the brownie cone.

Here’s how to whip up your own version of the sweet treat. And, if you’d like to browse more baked goodies and leave it to the pros, we totally get that, too.

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 ounces of unsweetened chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Dash of baking soda
  • 4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 tablespoons softened butter
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 ¼ cup confectioner’s sugar

Recipe

  1. Preheat the oven to 300º. Use Wilton bite-size heart-shaped baking tins. Spray tins with Pam High Heat Baking Spray.
  2. Melt butter in a large saucepan or microwave. Combine and blend sugar and eggs. Combine butter, chocolate flour, salt, and baking powder.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes. Let cool.
  4. To make the frosting, soften butter in the microwave, combine confectioner’s sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla in a bowl. Stir until smooth.
  5. Using the brownie dough and store-bought ice cream cones, put the heart-shaped brownie on top of cone and frost.

By the way, did you now the family-owned Luv’s Brownies has been baking its popular heart-shaped brownies since 1996? Better yet —
a portion of all sales go towards owner Andrea R. Lacy’s “Grit Award” Scholarship for high school seniors who have overcome challenges and contribute to their communities. What’s not to love? You can donate to the scholarship anytime, too.
