As Valentine’s Day approaches, why not whip up something sweet for your sweetheart?

Lucky for you — the bakers at Luv’s Brownies have a recipe that will surely put a smile on someone’s face: the brownie cone.

The family-owned establishment has been baking its popular heart-shaped brownies since 1996, and a portion of all sales go towards owner Andrea R. Lacy’s “Grit Award” Scholarship — created for high school seniors who contribute to their community + display resilience in overcoming challenges. ❤️

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 ounces of unsweetened chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Dash of baking soda
  • 4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 tablespoons softened butter
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 ¼ cup confectioner’s sugar

Recipe

  1. Preheat the oven to 300º. Use Wilton bite-size heart-shaped baking tins. Spray tins with Pam High Heat Baking Spray.
  2. Melt butter in a large saucepan or microwave. Combine and blend sugar and eggs. Combine butter, chocolate flour, salt, and baking powder.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes. Let cool.
  4. To make the frosting, soften butter in the microwave, combine confectioner’s sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla in a bowl. Stir until smooth.
  5. Using the brownie dough and store-bought ice cream cones, put the heart-shaped brownie on top of cone and frost.
