Fresno can’t touch this.

This past weekend, the San Jose State Spartans came out on top with a 42-18 victory over the Fresno State Bulldogs to take back the Battle for the Valley trophy.

But, that wasn’t the only thing that made a return to Spartan Stadium that night.

Music legend + rapper MC Hammer attended the rivalry game, showing his support for assistant coach Alonzo Carter.

Why? Well, Carter used to be Hammer’s lead dancer + choreographer back in the late 1980s to early 1990s, no big deal.

In 2017, Carter went viral after dancing to “U Can’t Touch This” on the field, and at the time, his players were unaware that he toured with Hammer. He even made appearances on Arsenio Hall’s + Oprah Winfrey’s talk shows between 1989 and 1993.

The two obviously still stay in touch today, and it’s safe to say that Hammer is a Spartans fan.
