Is this not the prettiest McDonald’s you’ve ever seen?
Ba da ba ba ba — we’re lovin’ this new mural, called “Patterns of Nature”, by local artist Hector Covarrubias that was unveiled at the McDonald’s located on Story Road. The artwork was commissioned by McDonald’s as part of its Ritmo y Color imitative that celebrates Latino culture.
The vibrant painting displays symbols of Mexican folklore + heritage like the butterfly, which is meant to signify the history of immigrant travel. There are also marigold flowers painted that are native to Hector’s hometown of Guadalajara, Mexico.
Once inside, you’ll notice the mural doesn’t end. It covers the walls and includes a special section that allows you to scan a QR code and bring the artwork to life on your phone.
