Big things are coming to St. James Park...

The Levitt Pavilion project is being proposed for development to bring free, live entertainment in an open-lawn setting to the historic park.

This project has also revitalized parks in several cities around the country — including Los Angeles, Arlington, Denver, and more — hosting 50+ free concerts year-round. 🌳

The total cost is expected to be ~$63.9 million , and so far, $10 million has been raised. At the end of next month, City Council will review the project to decide to move forward with construction. 👀

To give a sneak peek of the project’s potential, the nonprofit Friends of Levitt Pavilion will kick off its free Fall Concert Series which invites local + national artists to perform at St. James Park every Sunday afternoon from 3-6:30 p.m. through the month of October. 🎵

The shows will have food trucks + a beer garden with Camino Brewing Co., but seating is BYO blanket.

Among the upcoming shows, get ready for:

  • Sun., Oct. 2 — The Antibalas , an Afro beat band
  • Sun., Oct. 9 — Lyrics Born , a funk + soul rapper
  • Sun., Oct. 16 — contemporary jazz singer José James
  • Sun., Oct. 23 — La Doña , a SF-born Latin folk singer
  • Sun., Oct. 30 — funk/soul band Orgōne

Stay connected with the Pavilion’s progress + upcoming concert headliners through its Instagram page , and we’ll continue to update you all as more information is released.
