And the mystery San Josean is...

Guess the San Josean

Did you guess correctly? | Graphic by SJtoday staff
A couple weeks ago, we asked you to participate in our trivia series, “Guess the San Josean,” — a game where we give you three to four hints about influential leaders, business owners, artists, and other movers and shakers in our community.

If you guessed Silicon Valley Pride’s Chief Diversity Officer Sera Fernando, you’re correct.

This particular local seemed to stump many of you. If you can recall, we previously talked a little about Fernando in our local LGBTQ+ activists story. She continues to stay involved with queer + transgender youth rights and advocates for more transgender and nonbinary representation in Santa Clara County’s workforce. Her Instagram is a great place for all the resources she provides to underrepresented groups in our San Jose community.

From the editor
Now that I’ve rounded up some spots to snag a pumpkin, I hope I start seeing more submissions for the SJtoday Pumpkin Carving Contest. I’m excited to start my creation — carving pumpkins has been my family’s must-do every October, and my dad always stuns with his. Time to roll up my sleeves and blow this competition out of the water.
