SJSU’s enrollment is projected to increase by 8,000 students through 2040, so the university is planning a major campus redesign. SJC opened a new Cell Phone Waiting Area at 2470 Airport Blvd., just beyond Economy Lot 1. The small lot includes 75 parking spaces and replaces the previous facility on Airport Boulevard. The Airport Parkway Cell Phone Waiting Area east of the 87 overpass along Airport Parkway remains open, too.

Development
San Jose real estate firm Swenson plans to develop a six-story, 260-unit affordable housing complex near a BART station on Berryessa Road. The project would be built within the area’s Facchino neighborhood, where 350+ market-rate homes are also being planned. (The Mercury News)

San Jose’s Cinequest Film Festival will spotlight indie films Tuesday, March 11-Sunday, March 23 and organizers have released the lineup. Bay FC signed two-time NWSL defender Kelli Hubly to a contract through 2026. Hubly spent the past eight seasons with the Portland Thorns (thanks, PDXtoday), where she won two NWSL championships. “I’m thrilled to be joining this amazing club,” she said. The feeling is mutual — welcome to our city.
