City planners gave final approval for Super Micro Computer to build the first phase of a sprawling tech campus at the former site of Fry’s Electronics on East Brokaw Road. After nine years in business, the beloved Rose Garden restaurant is now closed due to “unforeseen circumstances.” The eatery was beloved for its weekend brunch offerings, including Pan Keki Japanese sweet pancakes, its spacious patio, and its cool neighborhood vibes.

The city released an extended summary for the Connect North San Jose Draft Plan, and public comments are being accepted via email through Sunday, June 29. The plan aims to improve sustainable transportation and make it safer for locals to get around through upgrades like new crosswalks + better transit corridors.

Every dog has its day. Tomorrow, a pup named Piper — aka Tyler Tofurry, a nod to NHL star Tyler Toffoli — will represent the San Jose Sharks in the NHL’s Stanley Pup.
