You’ve done your civic duty, San Jose + the votes are still pouring in... 🗳️
To recap: This year we cast votes to elect our new mayor, several city councilmembers + Santa Clara County sheriff — and make an amendment to our City Charter.
As of late last night, only ~44% of Santa Clara County’s ballots were counted, so most local races were still too close to call. However, we can share these early results:
Governor Gavin Newsom is reelected
US Senator Alex Padilla is reelected
US House of Representatives members Ro Khanna, Zoe Lofgren + Jimmy Panetta are reelected
We’re eager to see the results of San Jose + Santa Clara County’s local races, so we’ll be refreshing those election trackers throughout the day + and updating this article and our social media as more results come in, so stay tuned... 👀
