San Jose Mineta Airport knows one thing: Fly Simple. | Photo via SJC, by Mr. Ken Paul
Traveling this summer? To help make your time at San Jose Mineta International Airport (SJC) as smooth as possible, we’ve created a guide that covers everything from nonstop flights to dining options.
What to know
Parking | Not everyone has a bestie who will drop everything to drop them off at the airport. Luckily, SJC has plenty of options — check the airport’s parking map to see each lot’s capacity and which one is closest to your terminal.
Food and drink | From local offerings at Jim Stump’s Taproom + Kitchen, to Japanese cuisine at Sushi Boat, there are plenty of options for you to grab a bite before heading out. Oh, and even more concessions are coming soon.
Nonstop flights
SJC offers 40+ nonstop domestic flights, plus international flights to places like Mexico and Asia. Here are three nonstop flights to nearby locations:
A rechargeable handheld fan to keep you cool all summer long. With a battery life of up to 14 hours and three adjustable speeds, it’s our favorite hack to keep from overheating in warm weather.
Loquats are having a moment in the Bay Area. The shrubs thrive in our local climate this time of year, so you may be seeing more of their small, bulb-shaped fruits around local farmers markets.
Loquat fruits are known for their combo of sweet, tangy, and tart flavors. While delicious on their own, if you’re feeling creative, you could try using them in these recipes.
